Gasification Course

Duration: 15 Days
This advanced course focuses on converting plastic waste into gas (syngas) through a clean, controlled gasification process. Participants will learn feedstock preparation, reactor design, gasifier operation, and potential applications of syngas for cooking, lighting, or power generation. The course supports innovation in clean energy and sustainable waste solutions.

Learning Outcomes:

· Prepare and classify suitable plastic feedstock for gasification.

· Construct or operate a basic gasification unit for plastic waste.

· Evaluate the environmental and economic benefits of plastic-to-gas conversion.

Course Objectives

1. Foster an understanding of plastic types and their properties for safe recycling.

2. Teach participants how to use plastic waste processing equipment and tools.

3. Promote safety and environmental responsibility through sustainable practices.

4. Equip participants with the practical skills to recycle plastic into gases and briquette upcycling into tiles, cutting board and furniture

Audience: Environmental enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, small-scale industries, students
Methodology: Online theoretical learning
