Dr. Franca Unekwu Agamah

Chief Lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning Department, Yaba College of Technology

Dr. Franca Unekwu Agamah is a Chief Lecturer in Urban and Regional Planning Department, Yaba College of Technology, a TVET enthusiast, and a dedicated advocate for sustainable development. Dr. Agamah's work includes sustainable human settlement planning, urban growth management, waste management, and climate change mitigation etc. She is currently the Coordinator of the Yabatech UNEVOC Centre for Research and Sustainable Development, advancing Education for Sustainable Development through awareness and mentorship programs. She has coordinated programmes on greening, entrepreneurship, circular economy, curriculum development, digital literacy etc. Dr. Agamah has served on various committees, authored numerous papers, books, and journals. She is a pragmatist and critical theorist with excellent interpersonal skills, dedication, discipline, and commitment to duty.




Dr. Engr. Olumide Idowu Ogunyemi

Head of Department, Chemical Engineering, Yaba College of Technology

Dr. Engr. Olumide Idowu Ogunyemi started his higher education at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Science. Other higher degrees acquired are: M.Sc. Chemistry (Lagos), PGD & M.Sc. Chemical Engineering (Lagos), M.Sc. & PhD Chemical & Polymer Engineering (LASU). He is currently the Head of Department, Chemical Engineering, Yaba College of Technology, where he teaches Chemical Reaction Engineering, Thermodynamics, Engineering Analysis, and Applied Chemistry. He has quite many publications of local and international repute. His research areas are solid waste and the synthesis of both inorganic and organic molecules.




Dr. Abosede Adenike Rufus

A Demographer with foundation in Sociology and Interdisciplinary Research

Dr. Abosede Adenike Rufus is a demographer whose work is distinguished by a strong foundation in sociology and a passion for interdisciplinary research. She possesses comprehensive expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, supported by robust data analysis skills. While her core training is in population studies, Dr. Rufus actively explores the critical intersection of demography and environmental sustainability. A notable example of her applied research is her work on waste management projects, where she utilized a demographic lens to analyze the link between population dynamics and effective resource management. This experience highlights her ability to translate complex theoretical knowledge into practical, community-centered solutions. Her research interests also encompass social development and education, with a particular focus on the role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in fostering sustainable development and empowering communities. Dr. Rufus is eager to contribute her unique skill set to projects that bridge disciplinary boundaries to create tangible, positive impact.




Amidu Mohammed Dabban

Founder, CEO, and Creative Director of PlastiBuild Creative Solutions Limited

Amidu Mohammed Dabban is a climate entrepreneur, sustainability advocate, and product designer passionate about transforming environmental challenges into socio-economic opportunities. He is the Founder, CEO, and Creative Director of PlastiBuild Creative Solutions Limited, an award-winning green enterprise based in Lagos, Nigeria, with Upcycling Hubs in Abuja and Kano States, that repurposes urban waste into tech-driven, functional products such as sustainable footwear, green furniture, and eco-interiors. With over five years of experience at the intersection of circular economy, product innovation, and climate action, Amidu has trained and empowered over 1,800 youths and women in waste upcycling, green enterprise, and sustainability. Through his leadership, PlastiBuild has diverted over 6 tons of waste from landfills, reducing more than 5.6 tons of CO₂ emissions and creating economic opportunities for local artisans, waste pickers, and underserved communities. A certified Green Business Manager from the Nigeria Climate Innovation Center and a graduate of the School of Climate Change, University of Oxford, Amidu is also a One Young World Ambassador and a recipient of the 2023 & 2024 Creative Young Entrepreneurs Award by Junior Chamber International. His mission is to scale climate-smart, locally adaptable solutions that drive inclusive green growth across Africa.




Dr. Lawrence D. Adedayo

Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences at the Federal University Wukari

Dr. Lawrence D. Adedayo is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Human Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Health Sciences at the Federal University Wukari in Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria and earned his MSc and PhD in Neurophysiology from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Dr. Adedayo’s research bridges neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, metabolic disorders, and public health, with a particular focus on the therapeutic potential of African medicinal plants for managing neurodegenerative diseases, including Pain, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s diseases, and insomnia. He has authored nearly 40 peer-reviewed publications and remains committed to advancing scientific knowledge through translational and community-based research. His scholarly contributions have received notable recognition, including the Runner-up position for the African Young Scientist award in 2023.
